Is NYSE Open at Night?

The NYSE core session is not open at night. NYSE Arca plans to launch a 9:00 PM–4:00 AM ET Overnight Session on December 6, 2026, subject to SEC approvals, SIP availability and DTCC modernization.

Planned NYSE Arca schedule

NYSE Arca’s planned Overnight Session would operate Sunday through Thursday evenings from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM ET. Its Early, Core and Late sessions would continue at 4:00–9:30 AM, 9:30 AM–4:00 PM and 4:00–8:00 PM ET.

A market, venue, broker and security can each have different availability. “Open” only means orders may execute in the specific session described.
